Edible Gypsum’s Basic Introduce

Edible gypsum’s official name is food additive calcium sulfate and generally used in soy products, Baking, colloidal, beer fermentation, canned food, meat products, food packaging materials and other food industry as stabilizer and coagulant, thickener, acidity regulator, calcium nutrition enhancer.

Gypsum can be divided into chemical synthetic gypsum and natural mineral gypsum and has three sub-categories: dihydrate gypsum (CaSO4 • 2H2O), hemihydrate gypsum(CaSO4 • 1 / 2H2O) and anhydrous gypsum (CaSO4). According to the strict standard inChina, edible gypsum must choose high-quality natural gypsum as raw material.

Edible Gypsum’s Development in Leixin

In 2007, Leixin pushed the publishment of GB1892-2007Food additive calcium sulfate which added calcium sulfate’s category and improved the product standard at the same time.

In 2011, as the only one food additive calcium sulfate (gypsum) producer, Leixin united beer association, research institutes and other companies to add calcium sulfate (gypsum) into food industry additive list. In May of the same year, Ministry of Health published new announcement that calcium sulfate (gypsum) has been added in the food industry additive list and can be used in all kinds of food processing including beer industry.

In 2010, Leixin exclusively released How the Food Additive Calcium Sulfate Was Tempered to show all production steps without secret which improved the industry standard of food additive calcium sulfate. In 2011, Leixin published Food Additive Calcium Sulphate Purchasing White Book to build the standard of food additive calcium sulfate. Leixin also published many technical articles about the application in beer, bean product, baking and so on to supply professional technical support for customers.

In 2014, Leixin started the new standard factory strictly according to food additive production standard which is also the first food additive calcium sulfate factory inChinausing indirect calcination processing. In 2015, Leixin launched “the Morality” activity to focus on food safety and hold on to the moral bottom line! In 2017, Leixin has released more articles to introduce Edible Gypsum’s product information to the society such as Method to Distinguish Between Calcium Sulfate(Gypsum).
